Today was a rough day. There were lots of visitors and family started to leave. Being in ICU is no fun especially when there were weird visiting hours and only 2 or 3 people could go in at a time. He definetly had some awesome nurses though. I was in and out of his room since there were lots of people to see him and not much room for all of us at the same time. A man came to fit him for a "turtle shell" that he would have to wear for 3 months. He was not a happy camper afterward. He stated the man was really rough and was frustrated that I wasn't there. I felt so bad for him. As if he hasn't been through enough!
Being day 1 post-op, Roger needed his sleep. He was also becoming more positive but realization also started to set in more. It has definetly been a hard last couple of days.
