Well the goal today was to go to rehab but Roger is still in too much pain. We got him up into the wheelchair but only for like 5 minutes since he was short of breath and in pain. Most of the pain is in his left side and in his back. The nurse is really great today and called the doctor for a chest x-ray to make sure he doesn't have a blood clot sitting in his lung. The chest x-ray came back clear so that is good news. They are going to do a scan on his legs to make sure there are no clots there brewing. And of course getting his pain under control is an issue today.
I really feel for him today. He really wanted to go to rehab today but I don't think its going to happen. The doctor cleared him to go today or this weekend so maybe he will get to go this weekend. Keep praying for the pain to go away and the strength for him to use his time in rehab to the fullest extent. Thank you for following his journey!
Ashely I think it is wonderful that you are able to be right beside Roger during this time. I am also glad the Russell & Troy were able to see him today! Both Roger and you...keep up the great work! Everyone here in Mariposa is sending good thoughts and prayers his way!
