Day 11: Wednesday
Today has been amazing already! Roger got into a wheelchair today and we took a stroll around the hospital and outside. I am almost speechless and definetly tried to hide the tears.
The doctor came in this morning and is going to start him on a pain patch and pain meds by mouth to get him off the PCA (patient controlled analgesia) so he won't have his pain button anymore. Once this happens (and #2 happens) he is ready to go to rehab! So the goal is to get him to rehab tomorrow or Friday!
I know a question in the back of your mind must be "can he feel anything?" Unfortunately not yet. I can only imagine how it feels for him sitting up. It may be something like sitting on clouds since he still has no sensation from his waist down. He is doing very very well though. Keep praying! Much love!
